Shunned by both sides of his families since his parents untimely death.  He was abandoned to an orphanage in Stockton, Ca at a very early age.

Before making his way to a Catholic seminary in Galt, Ca and being unofficially adopted by the old Irish monsignor. Had Pearl Harbor not occurred he was looking forward to becoming a seminarian and eventually a priest or deacon himself.

He believed he'd found himself due to not getting along well growing up and in school. Not just due to being mixed race but, being born with higher functioning autism and hyperactivity at a  time when such was considered everything from being minor brain damage, feeble mindedness, and criminally born.  Not more than a few months into seminary Pearl Harbor happened and ended such.

His dealings with eugenic minded doctors and ugly racist West Point officers hurts but, perhaps not as bad as others would feel.  He's been mistreated his entire life and has battleship armor for skin.

He doesn't merely survive but thrives.  Though he feels sad beyond belief for the amount of blood he spills. Especially for the "regular German boys" in the wearmacht as, they just had the bad luck of being born in the wrong country, at the wrong time, most were just clueless teenagers and twenty-somethings who didn't know any better.

Though the S.S. was yet another matter to be violently removed in any and all ways possible, and he had no such guilt or sadness for them.  They got exactly what they deserved to be sure!
